Where is
Sarektjåkkå and what is a Sarek national park?
Sarek National Park is renowned as Europe's last big wilderness, captivating true nature enthusiasts with its untouched beauty. Accessible only by foot or helicopter due to the absence of roadways, it stands as a testament to raw, unspoiled nature.
Our wildlife expedition will commence with a helicopter drop at the park's border, allowing us more time to explore its remote corners and immerse ourselves in its pristine landscapes.
Day 1 | Day 2 |
We gather at Kvikkjokk by lunchtime and take a helicopter ride to Rinim. Where we start walking towards
Sarektjåkkå. Mostly we follow a valley. If available we spend the night in a cabin. | We continue and look for amazing trails towards our goal. We camp before the glaciers and set up a camp for 2 nights. |
Day 3 | Day 4 |
Peak day! We head up to the top of
Sarektjåkkå while we cross some glaciers. By nightfall we descend back to our camp. | We start walking back and when time we climb up some nearby smaller mountains. Night will be spent in the cabin if available. |
